WEEKLY UPDATE FROM REP. RYAN CHAMBERLIN
My fellow Floridians,
It is hard to believe that February is here! The first month of 2024 flew by. My work in the Florida House has kept me busy, and I am excited for what the next few weeks have in store for our state. Last week, I had the pleasure of meeting with several fellow legislators, stakeholders, and constituents, having important conversations and discussing legislative priorities for the legislative session. We got a lot done for Floridians! As your State Representative, District 24 can count on me to always put people over politics in Tallahassee.
Thank you for reading this weekly recap of some of the great things happening in our Capital City. I truly appreciate your continued trust and support!
Around the Capitol
I had the pleasure of meeting with Executive Director of Marion County Senior Services Jennifer Martinez to discuss legislative priorities, services offered, and how I can best serve our Marion County senior citizens in the Florida House. It is a privilege to be a champion for their needs!
It was great to meet with the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders at the Capitol. We had the opportunity to talk about ongoing member projects and the services the organization provides to the district. I appreciate the good work they do in our state and their involvement in the legislative process.
I had the honor of welcoming Christine Dobkowski, the Mayor of Belleview, to Tallahassee. It was great to spend some time discussing appropriations and several important projects happening in Belleview. I am grateful for her willingness to take time out of her busy schedule to sit down with me.
I enjoyed meeting with students from UCF to learn more about the issues important to them. It is always a pleasure to speak to our state’s young people and talk to them about the legislative process. I am honored to have the opportunity to invest in the lives of the next generation of Florida’s leaders.

In the District
While I am in Tallahassee for the legislative session, my district aide Haylee is able to step in for me and attend events in the district. On Wednesday morning, Haylee attended the SunTran 25th Anniversary Celebration in Ocala. SunTran has come a long way since 1999 and has been a major part of the community by providing transportation to those in need. Our constituents are able to use SunTran to go to work, job interviews, school, and so much more. Our community is truly grateful to the team that made SunTran happen!
On Thursday evening, Haylee attended the Belleview CEP launch event in support of the Ocala Metro Chamber and Economic Partnership starting a chamber in Belleview. The Director, Joe Reichel, held a launch event to bring business owners as well as community leaders together to network and hear about the new and exciting things the chamber will bring to Belleview.
I am working hard for you and your family in Tallahassee! Thank you for electing me to serve you. It is the highest honor to represent you in the Florida Legislature.
I look forward to keeping you updated on my work during the 2024 Legislative Session. As always, if I may be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office by clicking here.
